We're fundraising and collecting reader feedback as we prepare for the public launch of Pursuit Packs.
Pursuit Packs are the startup kits that let anyone anywhere start selling magazines to earn emergency cash and build recurring income. With that money, they are able to escape and stay out of homelessness.
A couple weeks ago we asked readers: "Should we charge money for the Pursuit Packs?"
Here are a few of the candid responses:
"I think charging at least the cost is fair . . . I would be willing to pay at least the cost."
—AK
"I’m leaning towards yes pay for a pursuit pack. But I’m thinking realistically, 'Could I buy some?' I would like to have one or two ready to give someone in need."
—HM
"Ask for a donation to cover the costs."
—WM
Some folks are already thinking deeply about the logistics of this effort.
"It sounds like the non-homeless helper will have some sort of relationship with the homeless person, which feels right for this. i.e., it's not a stoplight handout kind of thing. There needs to be . . . an explanation by the helper and a desire to participate on the homeless person's part."
—BM
"[Pursuit Packs] are a brilliant idea and will work really well for those who are homeless and don't wish to remain so...but...if the person who gives out the Pursuit Pack is not following up with their homeless friend and that friend is struggling . . . then all of those resources will be unused and wasted."
—FC
Thanks to those above and others who have valuable feedback as we move closer to launch!
We're making good progress toward the goal of creating at least fifty more kits. You can join the campaign below.

Perhaps you tuned in a decade ago when his inspiring writings won international acclaim from the International Network of Street Papers. I know this email is coming to you out of...

Ruth sells Speak Up magazines and personally-designed greeting cards as her source of income. We're looking for donors who can help fund...
